I purchased a Certificate of Ordination for $20 through PayPal. Being a "Reverend" is arbitrary and meaningless. Believing in god shows a lack of individual thought.
Howdy Citizen Atheist! Thanks for your comment. While you can certainly purchase an ordination on paypal, Reformed and Anglican ministers have long required thorough education for their clergy in languages, rhetoric, and philosophy.
The ideal of universal literacy was first a product of reformed protestants in the British Isles. It was well achieved both in Scotland and New England. The men who fought at Lexington and Concord in 1775 comprised the most literate army in the World at the time.
My point is that one form of religion was the source of the widespread literacy that eventually gave you the freedom to not believe. All preliterate societies were religious, and most were also tyrannies.
Your atheism is certainly none of my business. I also often struggle for faith and understanding. I do understand where you are coming from.
